Tata Curvv was one of the biggest automotive launches in 2024 and very special for so many reasons. For starters, it was Tata Motors’ entry into a highly competitive compact C-segment of SUVs. Secondly, its coupe design made the Curvv a very unique offering. Lastly, the homegrown is offering the Curvv in three different powertrain options: petrol, diesel and fully electric.
And yet, barely six months after the launch, Tata Motors is offering hefty discounts of up to Rs 50,000 on the coupe SUV. This is unusual for a vehicle that has generally received positive feedback from the industry. Despite being a well-rounded package, sales of Curvv have dipped.
Tata Curvv, Curvv EV discounts
The MY2025 Tata Curvv powered by petrol or diesel powertrains will attract discounts worth up to Rs 20,000 available in the form of a scrappage bonus. Tata is also offering an exchange bonus worth Rs 13,793. However, users can only choose one, either the scrappage bonus or the exchange bonus. The MY2025 units of Tata Curvv don’t offer a cash discount.

Tata is also offering attractive benefits for slightly older MY2024 units of Tata Curvv which are left unsold at dealership yards. Hence, these units are being offered at higher discounts worth up to Rs 50,000. This includes a cash discount of Rs 30,000 and other benefits at the dealership level.
As for the battery-powered Curvv EV, Tata Motors is offering discounts on only the MY2025 stock. This includes a scrappage bonus of up to Rs 20,000 and an exchange bonus of up to Rs 19,048. Again, customers get to pick only one option. All discounts are subjective to availability in the nearby dealerships.
Tata Curvv, Curvv EV decline in sales
The sales of the Curvv range have been decent but haven’t been able to shatter the roof. And considering these numbers include both the ICE and EV derivatives of the coupe SUV, the results are below expectations. Further, there was a sharp fall witnessed last month which must have compelled the homegrown carmaker to offer such hefty discounts so early.
Month | Sales Volume |
August 2024 | 3,455 |
September 2024 | 4,763 |
October 2024 | 5,351 |
November 2024 | 5,101 |
December 2024 | 4,994 |
January 2025 | 3,087 |
Tata Curvv new colour option
Tata Motors has also introduced a new colour option for Curvv called Nitro Crimson. It is now available in seven colour options: Gold Essence, Flame Red, Pristine White, Pure Grey, Daytona Grey, Opera Blue and the new Nitro Crimson shade.

The ICE version of Curvv gets three engine options: a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol, a 1.2-litre GDi petrol, and a 1.5-litre diesel unit. All three engine options can be had with either a 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The battery-powered Curvv EV comes with two battery options: a 45 kWh or 55 kWh battery pack, returning a claimed single-charge range of 502 km and 585 km, respectively.
