Besides launching the all-new Altroz Racer, Tata Motors has updated the standard range of Altroz by adding two new variants and updating an existing variant. The two new variants XZ LUX and XZ+S LUX and the updated XZ+OS variant are slotted at the top end of the Altroz lineup.

2024 Tata Altroz: New variants, updated features
The newly added XZ LUX and XZ+ LUX gets all the features that the XZ trim gets in addition to features like a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 360-degree camera, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. In addition, the XZ+S LUX trim also benefits from the enhanced safety of six airbags.
The updated Altroz gets XZ+ OS benefits from amenities like iRA connected car tech and air purifier. These two new additional variants will be available in a choice of petrol manual, petrol DCA, diesel and CNG powertrains.
2024 Tata Altroz engine specs
Tata Motors offers three engine options with Altroz including 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol unit, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol unit, and 1.5-litre diesel unit. The NA petrol unit pushes out 85 bhp and 115 Nm of peak torque. The turbo petrol engine kicks out 109 bhp and 140 Nm of peak torque. Finally, the 1.5-litre oil burner kicks out 89 bhp and 200 Nm of peak torque.
All three engines are paired with a 5-speed manual transmission as standard, while the NA petrol engine also gets an option of a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT). The CNG variants come with the 1.2-litre NA petrol engine mated with a 5-speed manual only, producing 73.5 PS and 103 Nm.
