Renault India has decided to rejig its entire portfolio, including the Kwid, Triber and the Kiger. The French car manufacturer has equipped the three vehicles with new features and has introduced five new variants across its range, focusing more on the affordable trims.
Renault Kwid: Rs 4.69 lakh – Rs 6.32 lakh
The Kwid is the most affordable vehicle in Renault’s portfolio in India. The automobile maker has decided to spruce up the Kwid by introducing three dual-tone colour options, a first for the A segment. The Kwid ups the ante by now coming with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Renault has launched a new variant in the Kwid, RXL(O) which gets features like the touchscreen mentioned above and is available in both manual and AMT gearboxes. This makes the Kwid the most affordable vehicle with an automatic option and a touchscreen. The Kwid has 14 safety features as standard like an electronic stability program, traction control system, hill start assist, tyre pressure monitoring system etc.

The Kwid gets the 67bhp 1-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with 91 Nm of torque. It is mated with either a five-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT.

The RXT, a variant below the RXZ, gets a rear view mirror camera that drives away parking woes and a rear wiper. Both the RXT and RXZ come with a PM2.5 air filter.

On the other hand, the RXL trim, second from the entry-level RXE, has air condition vents and controls for both second and third rows. All four variants come standard with LED cabin lamps and 15 safety features. The Triber is powered by a 1-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with 71bhp and 96Nm which is available with both a 5-speed manual transmission and 5-speed AMT.
