Renault has launched CNG kits for the Kwid, Triber, and Kiger, in India, with prices starting at Rs 75,000. These optional kits will initially be available in five states across India and will slowly expand to others in a phased manner. Renault says that these kits have been validated and come with a three-year warranty.

These CNG retro kits will initially be available in Haryana, UP, Delhi, Gujarat, and Maharashtra, which account for 65 percent of Renault’s sales in India. Renault says, “The CNG retrofitment kit is available for all variants and models except automatic and Turbo variants. The CNG kit is a retrofit carried out through a preferred vendor, using a homologated kit that meets all safety and performance standards.”
Speaking of the launch, Venkatram M., Managing Director and Country CEO, Renault India, said, “Our commitment to innovation and sustainability drives us to continuously improve our offerings. The introduction of the Govt. approved CNG retrofitment kit across all models are a testament to our dedication to providing eco-friendly and smart solutions for our customers. We believe this initiative will make Renault cars even more accessible and practical, solidifying our position in India.”
The CNG retro kit for the Renault Kwid is priced at Rs 75,000 while the kits for the Triber and Kiger are priced at Rs 79,500. Renault has not shared further details about its capacity or the change in power of the vehicles when run on CNG.
