Hyundai Venue was the first smart SUV launched in the Indian market in 2019. Based on an Autocar India report, the South Korean manufacturer will launch the second-generation Venue in 2025. Although the Venue experienced a 15 per cent year-on-year decline in June, it remains the third most popular sub-4-metre SUV, trailing behind the Maruti Suzuki Brezza and Tata Nexon. Before deciding to purchase the Venue, it is advisable to explore the features of the upcoming 2025 model.

2025 Hyundai Venue: What’s new?

Hyundai is ramping up its operations in India by acquiring General Motors’ Talegaon manufacturing plant. With this new plant and one in Sriperumbudur, Hyundai plans to roll out 1 million units annually.

After receiving a facelift in 2022, Hyundai will launch the second-generation Venue around the festive time in 2025. According to reports, the new Venue will be based on the current platform but will receive a new design that could be based on the popular Creta. The Venue will get a new front grille, LED headlights and tail lamps, a more muscular road stance,

The compact SUV will come equipped with the latest features like a more advanced driver-assistance system and other additional safety functions. The cabin is expected to be completely revamped with a new dashboard with a larger infotainment system, updated digital infotainment system, navigation and car-connected technology.

Going by the trend, Hyundai is expected to continue with special editions like Venue N Line and the Knight Edition.

2025 Hyundai Venue: Engine Specifications

The second-generation Venue will retain the current engine lineup, including a diesel option. It offers three engine choices: a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol, a 1-litre turbo petrol, and a 1.5-litre diesel. At present, the 1.2-litre and 1.5-litre engines come exclusively with manual transmissions—a 5-speed and a 6-speed, respectively. Meanwhile, the 1-litre turbo is available with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
