Volkswagen has added a new trim to the Taigun and the Virtus lineups. Called the Highline Plus, this new trim is slotted between the top-spec Topline and the mid-spec Highline. Prices for the Virtus Highline Plus start at Rs 13.87 lakh whereas for the Taigun Highline Plus starts at Rs 14.26 lakh (both prices ex-showroom).

Here are the key feature upgrades of the Highline Plus over the Highline trim includes:
- 8-inch digital instrument cluster
- Auto dimming IRVM
- Keyless entry with push button start/stop
- Electric sunroof
- Auto Headlights
- Rain sensing wipers
- Auto coming / leaving home lights
The Highline Plus trim of Taigun and Virtus is powered by a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder, TSI turbocharged petrol engine which kicks out 114 bhp and 175 Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties are carried out either by a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
Other Volkswagen updates
Besides the new Highline Plus trim, Volkswagen has also upgraded a key feature in the top-spec Topline trim. In the latest update, the Taigun Topline and Virtus Topline now comes with a digital sound package with amplifier and subwoofer as standard fitment.
Other than the standard range, Volkswagen has also added a few features to top-spec Taigun GT “Line trim which include 8-inch digital instrument cluster, Auto dimming IRVM, Keyless entry with push button start/stop, Aluminium pedals, Rain sensing wipers, and an electric sunroof.
After the latest set of updates, the Volkswagen Taigun range is priced between Rs 11.70 lakh and Rs 18.54 lakh, whereas the Virtus range is priced between Rs 11.56 lakh and 17.85 lakh (all prices ex-showroom).
