MG Gloster Storm range updated — Desertstorm, Snowstorm variants added

MG Gloster competes against large D-segment SUVs like Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian, Skoda Kodiaq.

Morris Garages (MG) India has added two new variants to its Storm range of Gloster namely— Desertstorm and Snowstorm— both priced at Rs 41.05 lakh (ex-showroom).. Prior to the launch, MG was actively teasing the upcoming Storm variants of Gloster for the past few days. Previously, MG launched the all-black Blackstorm edition of Gloster last year.

Both new Storm variants of Gloster come with updated exteriors featuring new colour schemes. The Desert Storm edition comes with a Deep Golden exterior inspired by the elements of Blackstorm edition, while the Snowstorm comes in a dual-tone Pearl White and Black exterior.

MG Gloster Desertstorm comes wrapped in a Deep Golden exterior shade that contrasts against black highlights including the front grille, alloy wheels with red callipers, and ORVMs. Further, the Red Isle LED headlamps and Highlands Mist LED tail lamps add a touch of sportiness, while the all-black door handles, DLO (Daylight Opening) garnish, roof rails, spoiler, and fender garnish complete the visual package.

The all-black theme is carried forward inside the cabin too featuring a blacked-out dashboard, interior trims, and upholstery. In addition, the black steering wheel with white stitching adds a subtle yet distinctive touch to the appeal of the vehicle.

MG Gloster Snowstorm highlights

The new Gloster Snowtom edition gets a sleek silhouette wrapped with a dual-tone Pearl White and Black paint scheme. Red inserts of the headlamp clusters and red accents on the front and rear bumpers, add contrasting touches. The front grille, alloy wheels, and rear spoiler are finished in gloss black. Similarly, the tallights also get a smoked effect.

Inside the cabin, the seats and steering wheel are adorned in a black scheme contrasting with white scheme. Both Desertstorm and Snowstorm variants come with their respective badges establishing their identities.

Further, the Storm range of Gloster is offered with seat massagers, themed carpet mats, dashboard mats, and premium JBL speakers which are fitted at dealership level. Based on the top-spec trim, the Gloster Storm range comes kitted with all the bells and whistles including a panoramic sunroof, a 12-way power-adjustable driver seat with massage and ventilation functions, and wireless phone charging. 

Besides creature comforts, Gloster Storm range is loaded with Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), comprising safety features like Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Lane Change Assist (LCA), etc.

MG Gloster powertrain specs

MG Motor offers Gloster in two diesel engine options. The first is a 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine churning out 159 bhp and 373.5 Nm of peak torque. The second option is 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel motor dishing out 212 bhp and 478.5 Nm of peak torque. 

Both powertrains are paired exclusively with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The twin turbo diesel unit also comes with a 4WD option with seven drive modes: Snow, Mud, Sand, Eco, Sport, Auto, and Rock.
