JSW MG Motor India is gearing up to expand the Blackstorm range. The company has teased the Blackstorm edition of Comet on its social media channels. The Comet will be the fourth model, and the first EV, in the MG lineup to don the Blackstorm badge after Hector, Gloster, and Astor.

MG Comet Blackstorm Edition: Expected Exteriors & Interiors

The Comet Blackstorm Edition will stay true to the other Blackstorm models with similar exterior and interior theme. The teaser shows the cute little electric hatchback wrapped in an all-black colour scheme accentuated by red highlights that give the car a sporty edge. The images show red accents on the alloy wheels and lower bumper lip. 

In addition, the Blackstorm edition of Comet gets a “Morris Garages” lettering in red on the front fascia above the LED DRL covering the width of the vehicle. The rest of the design and silhouette will be identical to the standard Comet EV. Changes are expected inside the cabin as well, with a dark theme featuring an all-black upholstery and a Blackstorm badge embossed on the headrest. Like its exterior, interiors of the Comet Blackstorm is also expected to be spruced up with red accents.

MG Comet Blackstorm Edition: Expected Features & Specs

The Comet Blackstorm Edition, expected to be based on the top-spec Exclusive FC trim, is likely to come equipped with a range of premium features. These may include a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, remote central locking, keyless entry, a smart start system, power-foldable ORVMs, tilt steering, automatic window operation, voice command functionality, and various connectivity features.

Powering the MG Comet EV is a 17.3 kWh battery pack which is claimed to offer a range of up to 230 km on a single charge. This battery delivers energy to an electric motor mounted on the rear axle that kicks out 41 hp of power and 110 Nm of peak torque.
