NEXA lineup: From S-Cross to Jimny
In 2015, Maruti Suzuki decided to offer its passengers a premium buying experience by launching the brand Nexa. Maruti Suzuki launched the erstwhile S-Cross, which helped the company enter the midsize SUV segment. In the same year, the automobile manufacturer decided to bring back the Baleno nameplate, but now in a hatchback avatar. This decision paid dividends to the company as it is Nexa’s best-selling car. In 2017, Nexa added the quirky Ignis, which had quite a polarising design and then launched the Ciaz. In 2019, Maruti spruced up the popular Ertiga and launched the 6-seater, the XL6. In 2022 with Toyota, Maruti Suzuki launched the first hybrid SUV in the midsize segment, the Grand Vitara. With the massive demand for SUVs, Maruti Suzuki launched the Fronx and Jimny in 2023 followed by its most expensive vehicle, the Invicto, which is based on the Toyota Innova.
