Mahindra has quietly removed the 5-seater variants of the XUV700 from the website. This possibly indicates that the Chakan-based automaker has discontinued the five-seater variants of the mid-size SUV. This could be largely attributed to the low demands for the 5-seat configuration of XUV700.

Although Mahindra hasn’t shared sales data of the 5-seater variants of XUV700, market observations suggest people mostly opt for the three-row versions. Further, Mahindra has a portfolio that is dominated by SUVs. Therefore, for buyers looking for a 5-seat SUV, Mahindra has plenty of other offerings.

This has also resulted in an increase in the base price to Rs. 14.49 lakh from Rs. 13.99 lakh (both ex-showroom). Mahindra offers the XUV700 in five broad trims namely MX, AX5 S, AX5, AX7, and AX7L. The 5-seater variants of XUV700 were limited to the MX and AX5 trims. After the latest update, prices for Mahindra XUV700 starts from Rs 14.49 lakh and go up to Rs. 25.15 lakh (both ex-showroom), both for the all-wheel drive Ebony edition.

As of now, the seven-seat variants of XUV700 are available in all variants whereas the 6-seater variants are available in AX7, AX7 L, and the Ebony Edition.
