Mahindra launched the much-awaited Thar Roxx on Independence Day, priced at Rs 12.99 lakh, ex-showroom. The Mahindra Thar Roxx is not just a stretched version of the three-door Thar, but a lot more. It is more premium, has a lot more equipment, and safety.
That said, the Thar Roxx is available in RWD and 4WD versions, but Mahindra has announced prices for the RWD versions alone. The Thar Roxx is available with a 2.0-litre petrol engine and a 2.2-litre diesel engine, both mated to a 6-speed manual or an AT.

The Thar Roxx is available in 6 variants, further divided into more depending on the gearbox and drive configurations. Mahindra will offer the Thar Roxx petrol in RWD version only, while the diesel gets the 4WD option.
The Petrol engine is a 2.0-litre turbocharged unit that makes 174bhp and 380Nm of torque, while the 2.2-litre diesel engine makes 172bhp and 370Nm of torque.
