
Mahindra and Mahindra will soon update the Scorpio, KUV100 and the TUV300’s infotainment with Android Auto. The car manufacturer has joined hands with Google in order to offer more connectivity options to its existing users. The carmaker is also expected to equip its upcoming models with Android Auto. Earlier this year, Mahindra had updated the infotainment of the XUV500 with Android Auto. The Apple CarPlay will be added at a later stage in all Mahindra vehicles in the country.
Mahindra will launch the Scorpio facelift in India soon this year and the car has been spotted testing multiple times on India roads. The 2017 Mahindra Scorpio is expected to get cosmetic changes such as redesigned grille with chrome inserts, revised headlamps and a bumper with horizontally placed air vents. The rear end is expected to get restyled tail lamps and bumper along with new 16-inch alloy wheels. The interior is likely to get new seat upholstery and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto similar to the Mahindra XUV500. According to the reports, by Car and Bike, the carmaker will not launch the Scorpio with Android Auto, but the connectivity feature will be added at a later stage.

By introducing the Android Auto in the existing vehicles, it will now help the users to connect their smartphone and can access information and features such as real-time navigation via Google maps, music, contacts, photos, etc. There is also an emergency call function, which has ambulance service and emergency contacts during the time of a crash or when airbags are deployed.
