
Mahindra Racing’s Formula E Team announced today, that they would be drawing a strategic partnership with two in-house Mahindra companies, namely recently acquired design house Pininfarina and Tech Mahindra, which is Mahindra group’s technology power house. As per the newly forged partnership Mahindra Racing  will get access to both Pininfarina’s iconic design expertise and Tech Mahindra’s technological assistance.  As of now Mahindra racing riding a high from a strong 2017 performance is prepping for the 2018 edition which will commence in December 2018.
Speaking on the newly forged partnership  Ruzbeh Irani, President (Group Communications & Ethics) & Chief Brand Officer, Mahindra Group, said, “The Mahindra Racing Formula E team has had a very successful start to Season 4 leading both the Teams’ and Drivers’ Championships after the first three races. The partnership will give Mahindra’s M5Electro race car access to Pininfarina wind-tunnel testing facility in Italy which will help them get the car’s Aero in top notch before the next round of the champion. Aside from this the team is likely to benefit from years of design expertise from the house of Pininfarina.
Commenting on their testing facility, Silvio Pietro Angori, CEO, Pininfarina said, “We own one of the most advanced Wind Tunnel’s in the world, a centre of excellence for research and development in the aerodynamics and aero-acoustics field since 1972. Over the years many aerodynamic tests have been carried out in our Wind Tunnel for passenger cars, for Formula 1, for motorcycling and for the sports equipment of world-class athletes.”
