Mahindra BE 6, XEV 9e rack up Rs 8472 crore in bookings on day 1

Let the good times roll. Mahindra is on cruise control as its two borne-electric SUVs, the BE 6 and the XEV 9e, have received a record 30,179 bookings. The Indian automobile manufacturer has confirmed that the deliveries will commence from March to August 2025. What is interesting to note is that the top variant accounted for 73 per cent of the total bookings.

This has become a norm as Mahindra continues to rake in impressive numbers. In 2022, the Scorpio N set a new record by clocking 25,000 bookings in a minute and 1 lakh SUVs booked in 30 minutes. If you thought that was impressive then last year the Thar Roxx did one better receiving 1,76,218 within 60 minutes. 

Keeping all these numbers in mind, the EV duo has achieved impressive booking numbers as this category is growing. Mahindra revealed the split between the XEV 9e and BE 6 is 56 per cent and 44 per cent, respectively.

Mahindra BE 6, XEV 9e: Specifications

The BE 6 and the XEV 9e are available in two battery pack options — 59 kWh and 79 kWh. The BE 6 is available in 5 variants and the smaller battery has a range of 557 km while the top trim returns 683 km based on MIDC. 

The XEV 9e comes in four variants — Pack One 59 kWh, Pack Two 59 kWh, Pack Three Select 59 kWh and Pack Three 79 kWh. According to MIDC, the 59 kWh battery and the 79 kWh offer a range of 542 km and 656 km, respectively.
