
Lexus has entered the India auto market and has launched three new models, namely, the ES, RX and the LX SUV. All the Lexus models are CBU (Completely Built-up Unit) and will be sold at the company’s dealerships in Mumbai, New Delhi and Bangalore. The carmaker will commence the deliveries of the new models from tomorrow.
The Lexus ES 300h is an entry level sedan and is based on the Toyota Camry’s engine option, a 2.5 litre DOHC VVT petrol and a hybrid motor that 154 hp of power and 212 Nm of torque and is paired to a CVT gearbox. The Lexus ES Hybrid is priced at Rs 55.27 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. The company will also introduce the LS sedan, but has not confirmed the launch and specification.

The second model that has been launched is the RX SUV, which according to the company is the world’s first premium SUV. The RX 450h is powered by a 3.5 litre, V6 petrol engine and a hybrid motor that produces a combined power of 308 hp and is paired to an e-CVT gearbox. The Lexus RX 450h is available in two variants, the RX Luxury priced at Rs 1.07 crore and the RX F-Sport with a price tag of Rs 1.09 crore, ex-showroom, Delhi.

Lexus has launched the LX 450d SUV in India that shares its platform with the Toyota Land Cruiser. The Lexus LX 450d gets a 5.7 litre V8 engine that develops 383 hp of power and 546 Nm of torque. The diesel variant will get a 4.5-litre V8 twin-turbo unit that produces 269 hp and 650 Nm. The car manufacturer has not announced the price of the SUV, which will be revealed later. We expect the Lexus LX 450d to be priced at Rs 2 crore, ex-showroom, Delhi.
