Kia is set to make a big splash with the upcoming Syros SUV and has released several teasers. Set to make its global debut on 19 December, the Kia Syros will sit between the Sonet and Seltos in the carmaker’s lineup. However, ahead of its official debut, select Kia dealerships have started bookings for the Syros for Rs 21,000.
Kia Syros — What we know so far?
As mentioned earlier, the new Kia Syros will sit in between the entry-level Sonet and the Seltos. The SUV will be powered by two engine options — a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol unit and a 1.5-litre diesel mill. The engines are already in use in the Kia Sonet and gearbox options will include a six-speed manual or an automatic torque converter.
In terms of design and features, the Syros will get vertically-stacked LED headlights, flush door handles, L-shaped tail lamps, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, a digital instrument console, a 360-degree camera, rear AC vents, and a large infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity.
Also, going by a report by Carwale, the upcoming Kia Syros will be available in eight exterior colour options and six variants to choose from. The report also suggests that the Syros will feature ADAS, along with 17-inch wheels, and a reclinable rear seat with ventilation.
