Kia unveiled the facelifted Sonet last week which received subtle styling updates over the current model besides additional features. Pre-bookings for the updated Sonet begin at midnight today (20 December 2023). For quicker deliveries, Kia has introduced the K-code priority booking initiative.
Kia Sonet K-code priority delivery
Customers can avail of the K-Code from any existing Kia customer, which can be used for booking the updated Sonet through the Kia India website and ‘MyKia’ app. This scheme is valid only for December 20 2023, starting from 12 AM to 11:59 PM.
The Korean brand has further stated in its media release that deliveries for the facelifted Kia Sonet, except the diesel-powered manual variants, will begin sometime in January 2024. Deliveries for diesel manual Sonet will commence from February onwards.

Considered as the most premium offering in the subcompact SUV space, Sonet is Kia’s second best-selling vehicle, with more than 3.6 lakh vehicles sold globally. In India, Kia has sold 2.84 lakh vehicles, contributing 33% to Kia India’s overall domestic sales. In the most competitive Compact SUV segment, the Sonet has continuously maintained close to 13% segment share on an average in the last 3 years.
Kia Sonet facelift updates
Sonet gets a bunch of feature upgrades such as updated touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument console, 360-degree camera, four-way electric power driver seat, LED ambient sound lighting, paddle shifters, front ventilated seats, etc. However, the biggest feature upgrade is the addition of Level 1 ADAS including Front Collision Warning, Front Collision Avoidance-Assist, Lane Departure Warning, High Beam Assist, and more.
Powertrain options remain the same including a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol mill, and a 1.5-litre diesel motor. The most notable update is the return of a 6-speed manual gearbox for the diesel engine.
