Kia Seltos is one of the best-selling compact C-segment SUVs in India. First introduced in August 2019, it received a mid-cycle facelift last year but the Korean carmaker keeps updating the SUV to stay competitive in the market. Kia has added two new automatic variants to the Seltos lineup. Both new variants are part of the HTK+ trim.

One of them is a CVT automatic in the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol variant of HTK+. This variant is priced at Rs 15.40 lakh (ex-showroom), thus becoming the most affordable automatic variant in the Seltos range. This new variant undercuts the HTX petrol automatic, the previous cheapest automatic variant, by Rs 1.20 lakh.

The other new variant is a 6-speed torque converter automatic in the 1.5-litre diesel engine-powered Seltos HTK+. This variant is priced at Rs 16.90 lakh (both, ex-showroom), making it the most affordable diesel variant of Seltos. Previously the diesel automatic Seltos range started from the HTX trim which is  Rs 1.30 lakh dearer than the new variant.

Kia India price hike

Recently, Kia announced a price hike of 3% across all its mass market products in India which will take effect from 1 April 2024. This decision is attributed to the escalation in commodity prices and supply chain-related inputs. It marks the first price adjustment by the company this year. Prices for the new variants are expected to be announced post the upcoming price increment.
