Besides being a bankable star, Bollywood actor John Abraham is an avid motoring enthusiast. A true-blue petrolhead, Abraham has often confessed his love for motorcycles but very rarely has the actor shown the same love for cars. That said, The Diplomat actor also has a soft spot in his heart for machines on four wheels.
Abraham has added a brand new bespoke Mahindra Thar Roxx to his garage. A recent social media post confirms the same, revealing the actor collecting his latest prized possession from a Mahindra showroom in Mumbai. The actor reportedly had to wait for the delivery of his Thar Roxx for seven months.
John Abraham’s Mahindra Thar Roxx
Wrapped in a black shade, the Thar Roxx bought by Abraham contains some bespoke elements customised especially for the actor. For starters, the Thar Roxx unit contains the actor’s initials on the front and rear quarter glass panel and front seat headrests. Further, the special silver-coloured plaque embossed on the left-hand side of dashboard mentions “Made for John Abraham”, giving it a more personalised and exclusive touch.
Mahindra Thar Roxx: New Features
John Abraham’s Thar Roxx is also the first unit to receive a set of new features. For starters, the handlebars of the 5-door Thar come with request sensors for keyless entry and exit. The off-roading SUV now gets aero wipers which make less friction noise when in use. Further, inside the cabin, the front armrest for both the driver and the co-driver is now fully adjustable. Moreover, Mahindra has now started delivering Thar Roxx with the Mocha Brown interior scheme that was introduced after the launch.
Mahindra Thar Roxx: Powertrain
Powering the Mahindra Thar Roxx is either a 2.0-litre mStallion turbocharged petrol engine or a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel mill. Both engine options can be had with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic. However, the 4×4 drivetrain can only be had with the diesel motor.

The Thar Roxx bought by Abraham is the top-spec AX7 L powered by the diesel engine with a 4WD option. This variant is priced at Rs 21.59 lakh for the manual and Rs 23.09 lakh for the automatic (both prices ex-showroom).
