Hyundai has issued a recall for the Verna CVT models in India, and the owners of the affected vehicles are being informed by Hyundai directly. Customers who have received the recall notification can contact their nearest service centre.
Hyundai Verna recall
The recall for the Hyundai Verna CVT is over an inspection and fix of an error in the electronic oil pump controller. Hyundai will inspect and replace the part free of cost and customers are encouraged to visit the nearest service centre for the same once they have received a notification from Hyundai.
Recently, the same issue was found with Kia vehicles, which were also recalled. For Kia, almost 4,300 units of the Seltos were affected, and the carmaker rectified the issue free of cost.
The Hyundai Verna was launched in India last year and is available in EX, S, SX, and SX (O) trims, priced at Rs 11 lakh onwards, ex-showroom. The Verna can be had in petrol or diesel trims, paired with manual, CVT, or DCT gearbox choices.
