Hyundai has expanded the Exter range by launching two new variants. Both the latest additions— S+ (AMT) and S(O)+ (MT) —get electric sunroof as a flagship feature and are priced at Rs 7.86 lakh, and Rs 8.44 lakh, respectively (both, ex-showroom).
Other features on offer in these new variants include a digital instrument cluster with colour TFT Multi-Information Display (MID), an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, rear AC vents, all power windows, LED DRLs, front and rear skid plates, headlamp escort function, floor mats, and more.

When it comes to safety, Hyundai has equipped Exter with safety features such as 6 airbags, 3-point seatbelts for all seats, Day & Night IRVM, tyre pressure monitoring system – Highline , Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC), vehicle stability management (VSM), burglar alarm, ABS with EBD, impact-sensing auto door unlock, and emergency stop signal (ESS) to name a few.

Exteriors of Exter are highlighted by a sleek black mesh radiator grille, projector headlights, and a distinctive H-shaped LED DRL. The vehicle’s sides are accentuated by black panels and striking alloy wheels featuring a diamond-cut pattern, adding depth and visual interest to its profile. At the rear, the SUV boasts a sporty roof spoiler, shark-fin antenna, and rear wiper, culminating in a dramatic H-shaped LED taillight design that completes its athletic stance.
Powering the Exter a 1.2-litre Kappa four-cylinder naturally aspirated (NA) petrol engine producing 82 bhp at 6,000rpm and a peak torque output of 113.8Nm at 4,000rpm. While one variant is paired with a 5-speed manual while the other is mated to an AMT gearbox. Exter rivals the Tata Punch and Citroen C3.
