The 2024 Hyundai Creta keeps setting new records. Despite the automotive industry’s low sales figures, the Hyundai midsize SUV achieved sales of 17,350 units in July 2024, marking a monthly domestic sales record for the Creta.
Hyundai Creta: A force to reckon with
To say that the facelift has been a runaway success and has been selling like hotcakes is a serious understatement. In July 2024, Hyundai announced that the Creta sold over 1 lakh units in a span of six months. Hyundai launched the 2024 Creta in January. On average, the Creta sells around 15,000 units monthly.

Hyundai Creta: Engine Specs
The Creta is available in three engine options — 1.5-litre NA petrol, 1.5-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre diesel. It also offers multiple transmission options the NA and diesel come standard with a 6-speed manual, while the former gets a CVT and the latter a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The turbo petrol, on the other hand, only comes with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.Â
Hyundai Creta: Price and Competition
Ever since the Creta was launched in 2015, it has been the best-seller in the midsize SUV segment. The 2024 Creta starts from Rs 11 lakh to Rs 20.15 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi. It goes up against the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Kia Seltos, Toyota Hyryder, Honda Elevate, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun and MG Astor.
