Citroen has launched an updated C3 Aircross which has been renamed as “Aircross”. The French carmaker has removed the C3 moniker which is now solely reserved for the subcompact crossover offered by the company. Moreover, the starting price of the mid-size SUV has come down significantly.
The Aircross is now offered at a starting price of Rs 8.49 lakh (ex-showroom) which not only undercuts all its segment rivals but the price also matches the SUVs from a segment below like Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon and others. In the latest avatar, the Aircross gains a new engine option and some new features.

Bookings for the updated Aircross has now commenced. Interested buyers can now register their bookings on Citroën India’s official website. Deliveries for the new Aircross will begin from 8 October onwards across all 86 La Maison Citroën showrooms nationwide. The Citroen Aircross is available in both 5-seater and 5+2 seater versions. The latter is priced Rs 35,000 more than the corresponding 5-seater trim.

Citroen C3 Aircross: What’s new?
Citroen has added a couple of new features to the Aircross including LED projector headlamps and automatic climate control. Further, the car now gets enhanced conveniences such as power window switches on the doors, grab handles on the passenger side, power-folding ORVMs, and rear AC vents. Additionally, the interior is upgraded with a soft-touch instrument panel to give the cabin a slightly more premium appeal.
In terms of safety, the Aircross now gets six airbags and ISOFIX child seat anchors. Other features on board include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 7-inch digital driver’s display, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, steering mounted audio controls, rear parking camera with sensors and hill start assist.

The C3 Aircross now also comes with the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine which is available in C3 and Basalt. This unit pushed out 81 bhp and 115 Nm of peak torque while being paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine continues to be paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. This motor kicks out 109 bhp and 190 Nm (205 Nm in AT) of peak torque.
