August discounts: Massive deals on Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara

Due to high inventory levels, automotive manufacturers and dealerships are offering significant discounts. Maruti Suzuki has declared rebates on its premier SUV, the Grand Vitara, with deals going up to Rs 1.28 lakh. In the preceding two months, the Grand Vitara has presented benefits surpassing Rs 1 lakh.

Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara discount in August

Maruti Suzuki is offering deals on both the strong hybrid and mild-hybrid versions. In August, the Grand Vitara Strong Hybrid offers rebates up to Rs 1.03 lakh including corporate deals and cash discounts. For exchanging an old diesel car, Maruti Suzuki is offering an extra Rs 25,000 pushing the total benefits to below Rs 1.3 lakh. On the other hand, the mild-hybrid versions offer up to Rs 63,000 discount, while the CNG trim gets around Rs 30,000 to Rs 35,000 benefits. 

Another major update is that Maruti Suzuki is offering the SUV with a 5-year extended warranty, unlike the 3-year deal that was available last month. Last month, the company increased its standard warranty from 2 years or 40,000 km to 3 years and 1 lakh kilometres. 

In addition to the standard warranty, there are three extended warranties available — Platinum, Royal Platinum and Solitaire packages. The Platinum avails up to 4 years or 1,20,000 km, Royal Platinum offers up to 5 years and 1,40,000 kilometres and the 6 years or 1,60,000 km for the Solitaire package.

Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara: Engine Specs and Price

The Grand Vitara mild-hybrid is powered by a 1462 cc naturally aspirated petrol engine with an output of 102 bhp and 136.8 Nm of torque. It is available with a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic. The strong hybrid gets a Toyota-sourced 1.5-litre three-cylinder Atkinson cycle engine paired to a 177.6V lithium-ion battery and produces 91 bhp and 122 Nm of torque. It comes standard with an e-CVT automatic gearbox.
