What makes this McLaren even more special is that it’s part of the 60th Anniversary Edition, with only 60 units produced worldwide. Thakkar is also known for owning one of the most exotic supercar collections in India. Let’s take a look at his latest prized possession and what else is tucked away in his impressive garage.
Angel One chairman’s exotic garage: McLaren the 750S Spider
The McLaren 750S Spider offers cutting-edge technology and performance from the world of Formula 1 and the exquisite convertible design. The 750S Spider’s Retractable Hard Top (RHT) folds up or down in 11 seconds at speeds up to 50kmph. It is power packed by a 4-litre V8 engine that produces 740 bhp and 800 Nm. According to McLaren, the 750S Spider does 0 – 100 kmph in 2.8 seconds and 0 – 200 kmph in 7.3 seconds with a top speed of 332 kmph. The 750S Spider is priced at around Rs 6 crore, ex-showroom.

How can a sports car collection be complete without the famous Prancing Horse? Thakkar is the proud owner of the Ferrari Pista, which uses carbon fibre components for its front and rear bumpers, engine cover, rear spoiler and wheel rims. It has the most powerful V8 engine ever to be produced by Ferrari and has an output of 740 bhp and 770 Nm of torque. According to Ferrari, the 488 Pista does 0 – 100 kmph in 2.85 seconds and 0 – 200 kmph in 7.6 seconds with a top speed of 340 kmph.
Angel One chairman’s exotic garage: Porsche 911 GT3 RSÂ
If you’re a serious collector of some of the fastest racing cars in the world, then the garage has to have the iconic Porsche 911. Thakkar has the race track spec, the GT3 RS. The Porsche is powered by a naturally aspirated flat-six engine with an output of 518 bhp and 465 Nm. It does 100 kmph from a standstill in 3.2 seconds and 200 kmph in 10.6 seconds and has a top speed of 296 kmph. It is equipped with a fully automatic adjustable front diffuser and rear wing spoiler with a Drag Reduction System (DRS). Being a track focused race car, all key components are made of carbon fibre reinforced plastic. The 911 GT3 RS starts from Rs 3.5 crore, ex-showroom.
Angel One chairman’s exotic garage: Lamborghini Huracan Performante
The Raging Bull, the Lamborghini Huracan Performante, sits pretty in Dinesh Thakkar’s garage in an eye-catching Verde Mantis colour. The mighty Huracan Performante is powered by a 5.2-litre V10 that pumps out 631 bhp at 8250 rpm and 600 Nm at 6500 rpm. It is mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission and is an all-wheel-drive sports car. It does 0 – 100 kmph in 2.9 seconds and a whopping top speed of 325 kmph. The Huracan Performante is currently no longer available as Lamborghini has decided to pull the plug on it, but it was priced over Rs 4 crore, ex-showroom.
