The 2025 Toyota Camry has broken cover globally at the ongoing 2023 Los Angeles Auto Show and the updated sedan is set to go on sale in the USA from spring next year onwards. In its ninth generation, Toyota’s flagship sedan has undergone some radical changes including design, features, and specs.
2025 Toyota Camry: Updated Exteriors
Visual updates on the new Camry’s exterior are subtle yet noticeable which gives the car an evolutionary appearance. The most significant changes at the front include a sleeker front grille flanked by redesigned LED headlights with integrated LED DRLs, and a reprofiled front bumper with wider air inlets. Side profile boasts of a sleek roofline, a sculpted body, and 19-inch multi-spoke black and smoke grey-finished alloy wheels.

At the rear, the new-gen Camry flaunts new wraparound LED taillights, a rear lip spoiler, and restyled diffuser featuring a dual-tip exhaust which adds a touch of sportiness to the car. Other exterior visual highlights include a shark-fin antenna, ‘CAMRY’ lettering in chrome on the boot lid, and a new clamshell bonnet. The overall design of Camry looks familiar to the US-spec Prius.
In addition, there are two new colour options on offer: Ocean Gem and Heavy Metal. The top-spec trim will benefit from two-tone paint schemes with a black roof.
2025 Toyota Camry: Refreshed Interiors, features
Cabin interiors of the new Camry have also seen some major tweaks. For starters, the cabin can be had in either a dual-tone black and blue theme or Cockpit Red. More than aesthetics, the cabin of the new Camry receives functional upgrades over the outgoing model. The biggest highlights being an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital instrument console, and a 10-inch head-up display.

The night-gen Camry is loaded with all the bells and whistles including wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, USB-A and USB-C ports, wireless charging, a 9-speaker JBL audio system, WiFi with 46 connectivity, connected car tech with OTA updates, optional heated and ventilated seats, and a lot more.

2025 Toyota Camry: Updated Powertrain
In its latest avatar, Toyota is offering a single hybrid powertrain option across the Camry range. The Japanese auto giant has ditched the V6 petrol and now solely comes with a 2.5-litre hybrid engine that can be had in front and all-wheel-drive configurations. The former receives hybrid assistance from two permanent magnet synchronous electric motors at the front axle, producing 222 bhp (9 bhp more than the outgoing model). For the AWD configuration, the sedan gets an additional motor mounted on the rear axle that produces a combined output of 229 bhp.
Both versions of the electrified powertrain are paired with an eCVT automatic gearbox. Toyota is yet to reveal official specs of the battery pack on offer in the new Camry and its all-electric range.
2025 Toyota Camry: Variants, expected price, India launch
The ninth-gen Camry is being offered in four trims in the US market including LE, SE, XLE, and XSE. As mentioned earlier, it will go on sale in the US first by spring next year, followed by other international markets. If and when it gets launched in India, expect it to be priced at a premium over Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom), since it will be imported to the country as a Completely Knocked Down (CKD) kit.
