Tata Tiago EV vs MG Comet EV: Specifications
The Tiago EV is available in two battery options — 19.2 kWh and 24 kWh. The mid-range (MR) version produces 60.3 bhp and 110 Nm and does 0 – 60 kmph in 6.2 seconds. The long-range (LR) has an output of 74 bhp and 114 Nm. The LR does 0 – 60 kmph in 5.7 seconds.
According to Tata Motors, the 19.2 kWh offers a range of 223 km and 293 km for the 24 kWh. The Tiago EV comes standard with a 3.3 kW AC charger and the MR charges 10 – 100 per cent in 6.9 hours and 8.7 hours for LR model. The DC chargers juices the MR and LR from 10 – 80 per cent in 58 minutes.
The MG Comet EV is powered by a 17.4 kWh battery that produces 41 bhp and 110 Nm. According to MG Motor, it has a range of 230 km. The 3.3 kWh charger takes 7 hours to charge from 0 – 100 per cent while the 7.4 kWh charger takes 3.5 hours.

Tata has spruced up the design with a new front bumper, new LED headlights with new LED DRLs nestled in the fog lamp area and a shark fin antenna with GPS function. The 2025 Tiago EV sports new aerodynamically designed 14-inch alloy wheels for better efficiency.
The cabin is tweaked with a new black and grey colour combination, a new 10.25-inch touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, an updated digital driver’s console, a new two-spoke steering wheel with illuminated Tata logo, an HD rear parking camera, a new fabric seat upholstery, and Electronic stability control (ESC).
The Comet is packed with plenty of features starting from twin digital displays —one for the infotainment system and the other for the instrument cluster. It supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, over-the-air (OTA) updates, and offers three driving modes: Eco, Normal, and Sport. In terms of safety, it comes equipped with dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors with a rear camera, TPMS, and more.
