It’s been almost three years since Mahindra launched the new-generation Scorpio-N, which was a massive upgrade over the older Scorpio Classic. The company claims that more than 2.5 lakh units of the Scorpio-N have been sold till date. To celebrate this momentous occasion, Mahindra has introduced an updated version of the Scorpio-N.
2025 Mahindra Scorpio-N: New Z8T trim
In the latest iteration, the Scorpio-N gets a new Z8T trim which is slotted between Z8 and Z8L trims. This new Z8T trim is offered in both petrol and diesel engine options with a 4×4 drivetrain available in the latter. Prices for the Z8T variants start from Rs 20.29 lakh and go up to Rs 24.36 lakh (both ex-showroom).

The new Scorpio-N Z8T offers a wide range of features such as including R18 diamond-cut alloy wheels, a 12-speaker Sony-branded audio system, front camera, front parking sensors, 6-way powered driver seat, electronic parking brake (EPB), ventilated front seats, and an auto-dimming IRVM.
2025 Mahindra Scorpio-N: Level 2 ADAS added
Besides convenience features, Mahindra has also upgraded the safety equipment of the top-spec Scorpio-N Z8L trim which now comes with a Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). It consists of advanced safety features such as forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control with stop & go function, smart pilot assist, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, traffic sign recognition and high beam assist.

Furthermore, the Scorpio-N ADAS introduces segment-first features for Mahindra ICE SUVs, including speed limit assist and front vehicle start alert. Speed limit assist warns drivers of road-specific speed limits and, in adaptive cruise control mode, adjusts cruising speed with a single button. Front Vehicle Start Alert enhances traffic awareness by notifying drivers through visual, audio, and haptic cues when the vehicle ahead starts moving.
2025 Mahindra Scorpio-N: Powertrain specs
The 2025 Scorpio-N retains its existing powertrains: a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 2.2-litre diesel engine. The petrol unit delivers 200 bhp at 5,000 rpm, with 370 Nm of torque for the manual and 380 Nm for the automatic variant. The diesel engine produces 172.4 bhp at 3,500 rpm, offering 370 Nm with the manual and 400 Nm with the automatic. Additionally, a lower-spec diesel variant is available exclusively with a manual transmission, generating 130 bhp and 300 Nm of torque.
