Kia is developing a facelifted model of Carens which will be launched in the coming months. Test mules of the crossover MPV in its updated form have been spied on multiple occasions in recent times. Another prototype of the Carens facelift has been clicked on camera. As expected, the latest test mule of the updated MPV is also wrapped under camouflage.
2025 Kia Carens facelift: What new to expect?
However, the latest set of spy shots reveals a few crucial details about the new Carens. For starters, the front fascia has been significantly redesigned with new LED headlamp clusters integrated with the connected LED DRL strip under the bonnet. The connected LED strip headlines a sleek grille outlet with a chrome insert.
It gets a revised larger all-black air dam and as a result, the front bumper is reprofiled. Coming to the side profile, the silhouette remains identical since this is only a mid-cycle facelift. That said, we get to see a new dual-tone alloy design under the wheel arches. There is hardly anything to decipher from the rear end since the test mule is heavily wrapped.

We expect Kia to go with a similar connected LED setup at the rear as well even though the main taillamp cluster may see some revisions. If one takes a close look at the ORVMs, they can see camera lenses embedded which means the facelifted Carens will come with a 360-degree camera.
2025 Kia Carens facelift: Features expected
We still don’t know if Kia will update the interiors of Carens but it could be safely assumed that Kia is most likely to refresh the equipment of the utility vehicle. This will include a new twin-screen setup as seen in Seltos and Sonet, and most importantly the addition of Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). However, it can’t be confirmed which level of autonomous features will the updated Carens receive.
Besides the features mentioned above, the 2025 Carens facelift is expected to offer features such as wireless phone charging, ventilated front seats, an electric sunroof, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and connected car tech. Safety features, besides ADAS, will comprise six airbags, front and rear parking sensors as standard across all variants, along with a tyre pressure monitoring system, and a rear parking camera.
2025 Kia Carens facelift: Powertrain expected
Kia is unlikely to tinker with the powertrain of the Carens which will continue to offer three engine options including 1.5-litre NA petrol motor, 1.5-litre diesel mill, and 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine. All three power mills are complemented by a host of gearbox options. Details of the same are mentioned below.
Engine Specs | 1.5-litre N/A petrol | 1.5-litre turbo-petrol | 1.5-litre diesel |
Power | 114 bhp | 158 bhp | 115 bhp |
