Hyundai will officially launch the facelifted model of the second generation Creta tomorrow, i.e.16 January 2024. The updated Creta broke covers last week revealing all key visual updates on the compact mid-size SUV. The Korean auto giant has also unravelled details regarding specs and features on board the upcoming Creta.
Bookings for the same can be made at an authorised dealership or via the company’s official website by paying a token amount of Rs 25,000. Ahead of its launch tomorrow, let’s quickly recap what we know about the new Creta facelift and what we can expect from the latest iteration of the mid-size SUV.
2024 Hyundai Creta facelift: Exterior Updates
2024 Hyundai Creta receives several visual upgrades over the outgoing model– the most prominent being a revised front face. It gets a redesigned grille with a parametric jewel theme flanked by new horizon LED positioning lamps and DRLs and vertically-stacked twin-LED projector headlights.

The reprofiled front bumper looks chunk courtesy of a faux skid plate. Side profile of the facelifted Creta remains largely unchanged barring freshly designed 5-spoke dual-tone alloy wheels. At the rear, it gets a redesigned tailgate featuring connected tail lights housing H-shaped LED elements. It also gets a new rear bumper which houses a muscular bash plate.
Hyundai will offer the 2024 Creta in as many as seven colour options— six mono-tone and one dual-tone options– including Robust Emerald Pearl (new), Fiery Red, Ranger Khaki, Abyss Black, Atlas White, Titan Grey, and Atlas White with Black Roof (dual-tone).
2024 Hyundai Creta facelift: Interiors & features
Cabin interiors of the new Creta have been heavily revamped with new upholstery shades and a revised dashboard layout featuring a twin-screen setup for a touchscreen infotainment and a fully digital instrument console, redesigned air con vents, and HVAC controls with a new touch panel. The dashboard also wears different clothing with a dual-tone theme with beige and black interior shades.

It also receives a host of technology and advanced safety feature upgrades over its predecessor. The updated Creta gets 70+ connectivity features under BlueLink, a Bose premium sound 8-speaker system and a multi-language UI display. Other notable feature additions include ventilated front seats, 360-degree parking camera, six airbags, and Level 2 ADAS active safety features.
2024 Hyundai Creta facelift: Powertrain specs
Hyundai will continue with the two engine options offered in the current Creta— a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol unit, and a 1.5-litre CRDi diesel unit. The former kicks out 114 bhp and 144 Nm of peak torque. The latter burns out 114 bhp and 250 Nm of torque.
The new addition to the lineup will be a 1.5-litre Kappa turbocharged petrol mill that dishes out 158 bhp and 253 Nm of peak torque. Transmission options will include a six-speed manual, a six-speed automatic, a CVT automatic, a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic, and a six-speed clutchless manual.
