Hyundai is gearing up to launch the 2024 Creta facelift next week. The carmaker is aggressively promoting its launch on social media and television on the back of star power of actors Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. Test mules of the updated Creta have been spotted on several occasions in the past few months.
Ahead of its debut on January 16, a new set of spy shots have leaked on the internet which completely reveal the SUVs updated exterior. The updates are significant and in line with the brand’s current iteration of Hyundai’s global design language of ‘Sensuous Sportiness’. Hyundai will offer the new Creta in seven trims namely– E, EX, S, S(O), SX, SX Tech, SX (O).
Hyundai Creta facelift: Exterior updates
Up front, the new Creta gets a redesigned grille with a parametric jewel theme flanked by new horizon LED positioning lamps and DRLs and quad beam LED headlamps. The reprofiled front bumper looks chunk courtesy of a faux skid plate. At the rear, it gets a redesigned tailgate featuring connected tail lights housing H-shaped LED elements. It also gets a new rear bumper which houses a muscular bash plate.

Other visual highlights include a shark fin antenna, a roof-mounted spoiler, rear wiper, and a brake lamp on top. Besides, Hyundai will offer as many colour options– six mono-tone and one dual-tone options– including Robust Emerald Pearl (new), Fiery Red, Ranger Khaki, Abyss Black, Atlas White, Titan Grey, and Atlas White with Black Roof (dual-tone).
Hyundai Creta facelift: Interiors & features
As per the recent teasers from Hyundai, the facelifted Creta will get a heavily revamped cabin which will include a redesigned dashboard layout housing a twin screen setup for the touchscreen infotainment and a fully digital instrument console, redesigned air con vents, HVAC controls with a new touch panel, and new dual-tone shades. Hyundai has adopted a dual-tone theme for the cabin with beige and black interior shades.

Centre console is also revised with a new touch panel for climate control. The new Creta will also receive an updated Hyundai BlueLink App which boasts off 70 connected car features. Other notable feature additions include ventilated front seats, 360-degree parking camera, six airbags, and Level 2 ADAS active safety features.
Hyundai Creta facelift: Powertrain options
Hyundai will offer the new Creta with three engine options— 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, 1.5-litre U2 CRDi diesel, and a 1.5-litre Kappa Turbo GDi petrol. The 1.5L NA petrol unit puts out 114 bhp and 144 Nm of peak torque while the oil burner delivers 114 bhp and 250 Nm.
The 1.5L turbocharged petrol mill, comes in place of the defunct 1.4-litre turbo petrol unit, and generates 158 bhp and 253 Nm of peak torque. Transmission options will include a six-speed manual, a six-speed automatic, a CVT automatic, a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic, and a six-speed clutchless manual.
