The upcoming Hyundai Creta has been all over the news since the past couple of weeks. From being spotted on roads undergoing pre-launch tests to being teased online by the company, the facelifted Creta has grabbed eyeballs from all quarters. Hyundai has now officially taken the covers off from the new Creta ahead of its launch on January 16.
This is the first major update to the compact SUV ever since the second-gen model was introduced back in February 2020. Earlier, the Korean carmaker released a set of official sketches which revealed the SUVs updated exterior design. Now, the Korean carmaker has revealed the design of the new Creta in its final production form.
2024 Hyundai Creta facelift: Updated design
Aligned with Hyundai’s latest iteration of ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ design philosophy, the facelifted Creta takes inspiration from more premium international models like the recently upgraded Tucson and Santa Fe. The most prominent design update is its new parametric grille embellished with black chrome flanked by new vertically-stacked twin-LED projector headlamps on either side.

Another neat highlight are the LED Horizon positioning lamps hidden within the parametric grille. The reprofiled front bumper looks chunk courtesy of a faux skid plate. Side profile remains largely unchanged barring new alloy wheels design. At the rear, the connected LED light bar treatment continues, however, the taillamp has been redesigned with H-shaped LED elements.
The rear bumper also houses a massive silver bash plate with vertical reflector strips on each side. Besides, Hyundai will offer as many colour options– six mono-tone and one dual-tone options– including Robust Emerald Pearl (new), Fiery Red, Ranger Khaki, Abyss Black, Atlas White, Titan Grey, and Atlas White with Black Roof (dual-tone).

Cabin interiors of the new Creta have been heavily revamped with new upholstery shades and a revised dashboard layout featuring a twin-screen setup for a touchscreen infotainment and a fully digital instrument console, redesigned air con vents, and HVAC controls with a new touch panel.

The new Creta will also receive an updated Hyundai BlueLink App which boasts off 70 connected car features. It also benefits from gizmos like powered driver seat, dual-zone climate control, ambient lighting, etc. Other notable feature additions include ventilated front seats, electronic parking brake, 360-degree parking camera, six airbags, and Level 2 ADAS active safety features.

The 1.5L turbocharged petrol mill, comes in place of the defunct 1.4-litre turbo petrol unit, and generates 158 bhp and 253 Nm of peak torque. Transmission options will include a six-speed manual, a six-speed automatic, a CVT automatic, a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic, and a six-speed clutchless manual.
