Yamaha India has introduced the Monster Energy R15M MotoGP special edition at an ex-showroom price of Rs 1.99 lakh. This sports bike is exclusively available at Yamaha’s Blue Square showrooms throughout the country. Now, let’s delve into the details of what the R15M MotoGP Edition has to offer.
Yamaha R15M MotoGP Edition: Design
The special version of the R15M MotoGP Edition sports the Monster Energy racing team colours including striking graphics which further enhances its riding stance. The MotoGP team colours are splashed across the fairing of the bike while the Monster Energy logo is prominently showcased on the front apron. The body of the R15M predominately remains black with blue racing paint on the tank and on the side of the windshield.
Yamaha R15M MotoGP Edition: Hardware
The Yamaha R15M is based on a Delta frame with golden upside-down front forks with a mono-shock rear suspension. The front tyre profile is 100/80-17M/C 52P while the rear is 140/70R17M/C 66H. It is equipped with a 282 mm front disc brake and a 220 mm rear disc. It comes with a dual-channel ABS, a traction control system, a quick-shifter, an all-digital TFT instrument cluster, a turn-by-turn navigation system and music control via the Y-Connect app.
Yamaha R15M MotoGP Edition: Engine
The R15M is powered by the 155 cc liquid-cooled, 4-valve engine, which is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. It has an output of 18.1 bhp at 10,000 rpm and torque of 14.2 Nm at 7,500 rpm. The motorcycle offers two ride modes — Track and Street.
