Yamaha has launched the updated Aerox Alpha in Indonesia, bringing a fresh look and enhanced features to the international market. While the maxi scooter is now available abroad, Indian fans will have to wait and see when it will make its debut here. Along with new styling updates and graphics, the Aerox Alpha comes packed with a range of exciting new features.
Yamaha Aerox Alpha: What’s new?
The new Aerox Alpha boasts a sharper, more aggressive design compared to the current model sold in India. It features sleek, twin projector LED headlights with integrated indicators, along with striking LED DRLs. Enhancing its sporty road presence, the updated model also comes with stylish new LED tail lamps that perfectly match its dynamic nature.
The new Aerox Alpha comes with a new TFT instrument cluster display, which gets three display modes. The three options are Standard, Dynamic and Sports, which can be adjusted in brightness level and can automatically change to dark or light according to lighting conditions. The top model gets an integrated Google Maps-based turn-by-turn navigation system. It also has an Emergency Stop Signal, which switches on the turn signals when the brakes are slammed. The Aerox Alpha retains Yamaha’s connected technology or Y-Connect.
Yamaha Aerox Alpha: Engine Specs
Yamaha has kept the 155cc liquid-cooled engine in the Aerox Alpha, which still delivers 14.7 bhp at 8,000 rpm. However, the torque has been increased to 14.2 Nm at 8,000 rpm, up from the previous 13.9 Nm at 6,500 rpm. Additionally, Yamaha has introduced a new Electric CVT for the top Turbo and Turbo Ultimate variants, offering two ride modes—T and S—and three acceleration modes: Low, Medium, and High.
Currently on sale in Indonesia, the Yamaha Aerox Alpha has yet to be officially announced for India, but it is expected to make its debut sometime next year.
