In the entry-level segment, fuel economy is paramount. Hero claims that the Splendor Plus can achieve a mileage of approximately 80 kmpl under ideal riding conditions. In practical terms, the Splendor Plus continues to be one of the most fuel-efficient motorcycles available. For those looking to upgrade while staying within the Splendor range, the Super Splendor is an option, which, as per ARAI, offers a mileage of 68 kmpl.

Hero MotoCorp has smartly expanded the Splendor family in an affordable way in such a way that the time buyer may end up upgrading to the more powerful 125cc Super Splendor. For the entry-level, there are two variants, the Splendor Plus and the recently launched Splendor Plus XTec. Both the motorcycles are powered by a 97.2cc air-cooled 4-stroke single-cylinder engine with an output of 7.9 bhp and 8.05 Nm of torque with a 4-speed gearbox.
For an upgraded option, there is also the Super Splendor, which is available in two trims, Super Splendor and Super Splendor Xtec. Both the Super Splendors get a 125cc engine air-cooled 4 stroke single-cylinder engine that produces 10.7 bhp and 10.6 Nm of torque. The Super Splendor portfolio is mated to a 5-speed transmission.

The Splendor Plus gets the bare minimum features as it is an entry-level motorcycle. It comes with two features, a side stand indicator and tubeless tyres with alloy wheels. The Splendor Plus Xtec is the first in its segment to come with an all-digital instrument console and Bluetooth connectivity that sends calls and SMS alerts in the rider’s cluster. Another segment’s first feature introduced by Splendor Plus Xtec is a real mileage indicator equipped with an LED headlight and a USB port to charge mobile phones.
Both the motorcycles are equipped with i3S Technology, which is Hero MotoCorp’s stop-start system that automatically switches off the engine when it’s on idle for more than a few seconds. It restarts the engine when the clutch is engaged.

The Splendor Plus is available in four variants from Rs 75,441 to Rs 78,286, ex-showroom Delhi. The motorcycle comes in five colour options. The Splendor Plus Xtec, on the other hand, starts from Rs 79,911, ex-showroom Delhi, and is available in four colours.
