Hero MotoCorp is turning up the heat in the premium two-wheeler segment, and this was evident with the series of models unveiled at the ongoing EICMA 2024. The country’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer which is most known for its entry-level, mass-market vehicles, has been trying to make its space in the premium two-wheeler space in the last couple of years.

The Mavrick 440 currently sits on top of Hero’s lineup, making it the most premium offering. However, despite being a flagship offering, the Mavrick lacked a few features which should ideally have been offered as standard fitment. The bikemaker has now addressed those concerns with an updated iteration of the Mavrick 440 which was displayed at Hero’s pavilion at the EICMA.

2025 Hero Mavrick 440: What’s new?

For starters, the Mavrick 440 now gets a new  glossy Nardo Grey colour scheme, with black stripes on the fuel tank. In addition, it also gets a 3D embossed Mavrick logo on the fuel tank. Further, the roadster now benefits from gold anodised front forks, which combined with all the other visual changes, lend the bike a fresh and a more premium appeal.

Speaking of the forks, the Mavrick prototype displayed at EICMA received upside down front forks in comparison to conventional telescopic forks offered in its current version. This should ideally improve the bike’s handling capabilities. Interestingly, the kerb weight of the bike has gone down from 191 kg to 189 kg.

Another big update is the addition of a new TFT instrument console which has been borrowed from Harley-Davidson X440— its platform sibling. This cluster not only packs in better connectivity features but gets better graphics than the one currently offered in the Mavrick. Other features on offer include Bluetooth connectivity with call and text alerts, turn-by-turn navigation, USB charger, and all-LED lighting.

2025 Hero Mavrick 440: What’s unchanged?

Mechanically, the Hero Mavrick 440 displayed at EICMA 2024 remains largely unchanged, barring the new front forls. It is powered by the same 440cc, air/oil-cooled engine that develops 27 bhp and 36 Nm of peak torque. This unit comes mated to a six-speed gearbox along with an assist and slipper clutch.

Underpinning the current Mavrick is a trellis frame which sits on telescopic forks and dual shock absorbers at the rear. The bike rolls on 17-inch alloy wheels while the entry-level trim gets spoke wheels with the same size. The seat height of Mavrick 440 is quite  pegged at 803mm while it offers a ground clearance of 175mm.

2025 Hero Mavrick 440: Expected India launch

Hero hasn’t revealed any official launch timeline for the updated version of Mavrick 440 displayed at the EICMA. We believe that this version of the roadster will be a new top-spec variant addition to the Mavrick lineup which could possibly launch sometime next year. Hero currently retails the Mavrick 440 at a price between Rs 1.99 lakh and Rs 2.24 lakh (ex-showroom).
