Automakers launch limited edition models of certain brands here and there, however, when there is one from a company such as Harley-Davidson, it garners attention. That’s the case with the new Harley-Davidson CVO Road Glide RR. Limited to just 131 units globally, this bagger carries a massive engine and a colossal price tag — $111,000 (Rs 95 lakh)! Yup, you read that right.
Harley-Davidson CVO Road Glide RR — What makes it special?
The Harley-Davidson CVO Road Glide ST was introduced, it raised eyebrows, however, with the launch of the CVO Road Glide RR, the US bikemaker has raised the bar really high. Harley-Davidson has gone all in with this one, and the CVO Road Glide RR features extensive use of carbon fibre for the fairings and fenders.
That said, it also gets some exclusive bits from the King of the Baggers motorcycle, such as top-of-the-line Ohlins suspension, Brembo GP4 RX callipers, Akrapovic exhaust, and a single piece of CNC billet aluminium swing arm. The overall weight has also come down to 356kg, which is 22.7kg lighter than the ST. This explains two things — the exclusivity and the price.
The engine has also seen a tweak and the capacity of the V-Twin has gone up from 1,982cc to 2,147cc, resulting in 153bhp and 204Nm of torque. While this is as close as possible to the race bike itself, the motorcycle still gets a 12.3-inch TFT instrument console and speakers.
