TVS has launched the RTR 1604V Black Edition in India, priced at Rs 1.25 lakh, ex-showroom. As the name suggests, the RTR 160 gets an all-black treatment, including the bodywork, engine, exhaust, and other bits, while it remains mechanically unchanged compared to the standard RTR 160 4V.
The bodywork gets no graphics, giving it a stealthy look, while the TVS logo on the tank is also blacked out. The changes in the RTR 1604V Black Edition are purely cosmetic, while it continues to be powered by the 159.7cc, oil-cooled single-cylinder engine that produces 17.31bhp and 14.73Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a five-speed gearbox.Â
In terms of hardware, the motorcycle gets telescopic front forks, a monoshock at the rear, alloy wheels, a disc brake up front, a drum brake at the rear, LED lighting, and a digital instrument cluster amongst others.
