We have already seen the best-selling two-wheeler brands in the domestic market as per the details released by the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations, or FADA. Now SIAM has given us insights on two and four-wheeler sales in India, and we have already seen the overall summary of sales.
Now, let’s take a look at the brands that exported the most number of two-wheelers in September 2024. Here are the top five two-wheeler brands exported last month.
Top 5 two-wheeler brand exports
Leading the charge, as always, is Bajaj, having exported 1,41,156 units in September 2024. Bajaj’s two-wheeler exports saw a 12.7 percent increase compared to September 2023, when the two-wheeler maker exported 1,25,202 units. Following Bajaj is Hosur-based TVS, which exported 1,02,654 units in September 2024. TVS also saw a healthy increase of 18.7 percent compared to September 2023 when exports accounted for 86,462 units.
Honda takes third spot with its two-wheeler exports accounting for 47,242 units. Honda exports multiple models from India to many global markets, which include the CB350 range. Honda’s exports have seen a 34.2 percent increase from September 2023, when the company shipped 35,196 units.
Following Honda are two more Japanese manufacturers — Yamaha and Suzuki. Yamaha’s exports accounted for 30,137 units last month, while Suzuki’s stood at 21,922 units, both witnessing a healthy YoY growth compared to September 2023.
