Two-wheelers are the backbone of India and in October 2023, the two-wheeler segment registered domestic sales of 18,95,799 units, while most two-wheeler makers registered positive growth. The country’s leading two-wheeler manufacturers racked in good numbers last month and here are the top 5 best-selling two-wheeler brands in October 2023.

Hero MotoCorp

Leading two-wheeler sales in October 2023 is Hero MotoCorp, having sold 5,59,766 units, as compared to selling 4,42,825 units in October last year, registering a 26.4 percent growth. Her’s exports also saw a growth of 28.9 percent with 15,164 units being shipped.

Honda

In second is Honda, with its sales standing at 4,62,747 units in October 2023. Last month, the Japanese two-wheeler maker registered a YoY growth of 8.6 percent as its October 2022 sales stood at 4,25,992 units. Honda’s exports saw a growth of 28.6 percent, with 30,137 units exported in October 2023.

TVS

The third-best-selling two-wheeler manufacturer in October 2023 was TVS, having sold 3,44,957 units and registering a growth of 25 percent. In comparison, TVS sold 2,75,934 units in the domestic market last October. The Hosur-based manufacturer’s exports in October 2023 are at 75,653 units, a YoY growth of 10.1 percent.

Bajaj

Bajaj is fourth, having sold 2,74,911 units last month, as compared to selling 2,06,131 units in October 2022, registering a YoY growth of 33 percent. Bajaj may have settled for fourth place in domestic sales, however, when it comes to exports, Bajaj leads with 1,29,658 units recorded in October 2023.

Suzuki

Suzuki manages to beat Royal Enfield marginally to take the fifth spot, having sold 84,302 units. In comparison, Suzuki sold 69,634 units in October 2023, registering a YoY growth of 21 percent last month. In terms of exports, Suzuki shipped 16,205 units last month, registering an 11 percent YoY decline.
