Here are the top five best-selling two-wheeler brands in September 2024 according to the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations.

FADA, or the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations, has released data for two-wheeler sales for September 2024, highlighting the top five best-selling manufacturers. As per the data, two-wheeler sales in September 2024 have seen a MoM decrease of 10 percent and a YoY decline of 8.5 percent. Here’s how much the top 5 two-wheeler makers sold last month.

Top 5 two-wheeler sellers in September 2024

As per FADA, the leading two-wheeler brand in terms of sales is Honda, having sold 3,33,927 units last month, with a market share of 27.7 percent. For Honda, the Activa is the best-seller, while its competition is also getting fierce with the launch of new scooter models and EVs that offer better features.

Hero MotoCorp takes second place, having sold 2,71,390 units in September 2024, with a market share of 22.5 percent. For Hero, its best-seller is a motorcycle, the Splendor, while a large chunk of sales are also motorcycles, while scooters make up a small portion.

Following Hero is Housur-based TVS, with sales accounting for 2,21,257 units in September. TVS is fighting strong in the scooter segment and with the launch of the updated Jupiter 110, the company is clawing into the Honda Activa sales. For TVS, the Jupiter, Ntorq, RTR series, and the iQube are some notable sellers.

Bajaj settles for fourth, with its sales accounting for 1,41,668 units, including its EV sales. Bajaj’s market share currently stands at 11.7 percent. Bajaj is the only manufacturer in the list without ICE scooters, and for the Pune-based two-wheeler maker, the Pulsar range is the best-seller, alongside the Platina, a commuter that has proven to be popular.

And in fifth comes Suzuki, having sold 74,287 units in September 2024. Suzuki’s best-seller is the Access, which will soon get an update. Suzuki sells motorcycles in various segments, from the smaller Gixxers to the Hayabusa in India, while it also brought the GSX-8R to the country, priced at Rs 9.25 lakh.
