Two-wheeler sales saw healthy growth in January 2024, with many big names registering positive growth. The battle amongst top names continues as Honda and Hero battle for the top positions in India, while other names compete to outdo their sales compared to last year. Here are the top 5 best-selling two-wheeler brands in January 2024.

Suzuki

Japanese two-wheeler maker Suzuki takes fifth place in the list of top 5 best-selling two-wheeler brands in January 2024, having sold 80,511 units, as compared to selling 66,209 units in January 2023. The company registered a YoY growth of 21.6 percent in January 2024.

Bajaj

Fourth is Bajaj, witnessing domestic sales of 1,93,350 units in January 2024, witnessing a YoY growth of 35.8 percent. In comparison, Bajaj sold 1,42,368 units. For Bajaj, the Pulsar range continues to be the best-seller in India, and some of its other models have proven to be popular in the global markets as well.

TVS

TVS takes the second spot, with sales of 2,68,233 units in the domestic market last month, registering a YoY growth of 23.9 percent. In comparison, TVS sold 2,16,471 units in January 2023. TVS’ multiple offerings in various segments have helped the Hosur-based two-wheeler maker retain its position as India’s third largest two-wheeler maker.

Honda

For Honda, the Activa is the best-seller, however, the Japanese two-wheeler maker is just not able to beat Hero to become India’s best-selling two-wheeler brand. In January 2024, Honda sold 3,82,512 units in the domestic market, registering a YoY growth of 37.5 percent. In Comparison, Honda sold 2,78,143 units in January 2023.

Hero

Hero MotoCorp has started the new year with a bang, achieving its first podium at the Dakar Rally, making it a first for an Indian outfit. That aside, Hero leads the two-wheeler sales in India as well, registering sales of 4,20,934 units last month and registering a YoY growth of 20.4 percent.
