Royal Enfield has an arsenal of motorcycles that will be launched soon and one of them is the Scram 411, which was unveiled recently. The Scram 440 is the updated version of the Scram 411 and in its new lease of life, the motorcycle becomes city-friendly and has to fend off another motorcycle with a cool name — the Mavrick 440 from Hero MotoCorp. Here’s how the two compare against each other in terms of specifications.

Let’s start with the Royal Enfield Scram 440. The motorcycle retains the same design and functionality as the Scram 411, while sporting an updated engine. The motorcycle gets telescopic front forks, a monoshock at the rear, a choice of either alloy or wire-spoke wheels, disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS, LED lighting and more.

The Hero Mavrick 440 also gets similar parts, telescopic front suspension, dual rear shocks, a choice of alloy or wire-spoke wheels, LED headlight, a digital instrument cluster with phone connectivity and navigation, disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS, and more. One big difference is the tyre setup on both motorcycles, as the Scram 440 gets and 19-17 wheel setup while the Mavrick gets 17-inch wheels at both ends.

Both motorcycles are powered by a single-cylinder air and oil-cooled engine mated to a six-speed gearbox. On paper, the Mavrick makes marginally more power and torque while weighing almost the same.
