CFMoto unveiled a range of motorcycles at EICMA and the latest to break cover is the 450 MT, an adventure-styled motorcycle. As per recent reports, the motorcycle maker is starting production of the 450 MT in 2024 and is expected to arrive in markets soon. So if you’re in the market for an adventure motorcycle, here’s all you need to know about the CFMoto 450 MT.
Design and platform
The CFMoto 450 MT is based around a tubular frame and features typical adventure motorcycle looks with its high-mounted half fairing, while the vertically stacked headlights add to the looks. The motorcycle gets a single-piece seat and an upright riding position, while the graphics give it a good visual presence.
Engine specifications
Powering the CFMoto 450 MT is a 450cc liquid-cooled parallel twin engine, based on the 450 NK and the 450 SS’ motor. However, instead of making 49bhp, the engine on the 450 MT is tuned down to make around 43bhp, helping it make more torque at lower revs. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with no quickshifter being offered.
Equipment and features
The 450 MT gets fully adjustable suspension at both ends, a KYB USD fork up front, a monoshock at the rear, disc brakes at both ends with switchable ABS from Bosch, and traction control by the German company again. Other features include a TFT dash with smartphone connectivity, 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke wheels, LED lighting, and more.
India launch and competition
As mentioned earlier, the CFMoto 450 MT will go into production in the first quarter of 2024 and will be launched in the global markets soon after. However, the motorcycle being launched in India is doubtful, as CFMoto has been awfully quiet here. However, in case CFMoto makes a comeback with the new 450 range, the 450 MT will compete directly with the Royal Enfield Himalayan.
