Royal Enfield is creating quite a buzz with the new Guerrilla 450 and with its Scrambler design ethos and aggressive pricing, the company may have another top selling motorcycle. We decided to pit the new 450 cc motorcycle against Royal Enfield’s best-seller, the Classic 350. The two may be chalk and cheese but in terms of high-volume sellers, the Guerrilla could be a force to reckon with.
Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 vs Classic 350: Engine Specs
The Guerrilla 450 borrows the Himalayan’s new 452 cc liquid-cooled engine with an output of 39.5 bhp at 8000 rpm and 40 Nm of torque at 5500 rpm. It is mated to a six-speed gearbox with slip-and-assist clutch.
The Classic 350 uses the 349 cc air-cooled motor that churns out 20.2 bhp at 6100 rpm and 27 Nm at 4000 rpm. The J-series engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

The Guerrilla 450 sits on a steel tubular frame with standard 43 mm front forks with 140 mm travel and linkage-type mono-shock and wheel travel of 150 mm. The scrambler gets 17-inch wheels with 120/70 front section and 160/60 rear section. In terms of brakes, the front has a 310 mm disc and a 270 mm rear disc.

The Classic 350 is based on a twin downtube frame that has 41 mm front forks with 130 mm travel and twin shock absorbers with 6-step adjustable preload. It is available in both spoke and alloy wheels and the front is 19-inch and the rear 18-inch. It comes standard with a 300 mm front disc brake and based on the variant, the Classic 350 offers either a 153 mm drum or 270 mm disc at the rear. The front section is 100/90 and the 120/80 for the rear.

Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 vs Classic 350: Features
The entry-level version of the Guerrilla 450 comes with a semi-analogue console with a muti-information screen. It also offers a Tripper navigation feature as an optional feature. The mid and top trims sport a 4-inch all-digital instrument cluster with an inbuilt Google Maps navigation system like the Himalayan. The Guerrilla also has a USB Type-C charging port and two display modes. It also comes with two ride modes — Eco and Power.

The retro Classic 350 gets the traditional analogue speedometer with an LCD multi-information display, a USB charging port mounted below the handlebar and a turn-by-turn Tripper navigation pod as an accessory.

The new Guerrilla 450 starts at Rs 2.39 lakh and is available in three variants —Analogue, Dash and Flash. The Classic 350 offers five trims along with single and dual-channel ABS, while the Guerrilla 450 comes standard with the latter. The single-channel ABS variant starts from Rs 1.93 lakh and the dual channel costs Rs 2.02 lakh, ex-showroom.
