Ranganathan Madhavan, more popularly called R Madhavan or Maddy, is known for being one of the few movie stars who’ve aged like fine wine and for his love for two wheels. And now, Madhavan has updated his garage with Indian Motorcycles’ flagship product – the Roadmaster. The actor’s Diwali was all the more festive as he took delivery of his brand new luxury cruiser and he took to social media to share the moments getting his hands on his prized possession. Maddy sure knows his wheels and the Roadmaster is one cool way of touring, with a price tag that will put luxury cars to shame – Rs 40.45 lakh, ex-showroom to be precise. The avid motorcyclist has previously owned the BMW K1600 GTL, Ducati Diavel and Yamaha V-Max.
The Roadmaster is one of the most premium and luxurious cruiser motorcycles, with vintage styling that is certainly a head-turner. With classic clothing on the outside, the Roadmaster has all the modern tech to make the ride more comfortable, safer and enjoyable for the occupant.
Indian Roadmaster is powered by a 1811 cc Thunderstroke 111, V-twin engine that churns out 138 Nm of peak torque and is paired to a 6-speed gearbox. Some of the comfort features on the Roadmaster include heated seats and grips, adjustable floorboards and electronically adjustable windshield. The panniers offer up to 64.4 litres of storage capacity.
The Roadmaster has the rider’s entertainment covered as well. It comes with a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system that offers access to music, navigation and more. A smartphone can be paired with the motorcycle using USB and Bluetooth connectivity. Other features include pathfinder LED lights, cruise control, remote locking, among others.
