Ola S1 Pro Plus vs Simple One: Who’s the real game changer?

Simple Energy hoping to shake up the EV scooter segment with the updated Simple One. We compare it against the Ola S1 Pro Plus and find out which one to buy.

The sporty electric scooter segment is heating up with Simple Energy launching the updated Simple One. The new EV offers an improved range and performance that might give its competition some sleepless nights. We pit it against the new Ola S1 Pro Plus. 

Ola S1 Pro Plus vs Simple One: Performance and Range

The Simple One is powered by a 5 kW battery that produces 11.3 bhp with a peak torque of 72 Nm. Based on the IDC range, the 2025 Simple One returns 248 km. The previous model claimed to offer a 212 km range. According to Simple Energy, the scooter does 0 – 40 kmph in 2.77 seconds and has a top speed of 105 kmph. 

Ola Electric recently launched the third generation of the S1 line up. We take a look at the top model, S1 Pro+ which gets a 5.3 kWh battery with 4680 Bharat cells. According to IDC, it returns a range of 320 km. It packs a punch with 17.4 bhp, zipping from 0 to 40 kmph in 2.1 seconds and with a top speed of 141 kmph.

Ola S1 Pro Plus vs Simple One: Features

The Simple One sports a 7-inch digital display with connectivity features, including real-time data, remote access, and ride statistics. It comes with built-in turn-by-turn maps, auto-brightness, regenerative braking, tyre pressure monitoring system and a 30-litre under-seat storage. Simple Energy has also updated the ride modes. 

The Ola S1 Pro+ boasts of class-leading features such as dual ABS, twin disc brakes on both front and rear wheels, and brake-by-wire technology for improved stopping power. Riders can choose from four riding modes — Hyper, Sports, Normal, and Eco.
