Ola Electric may not be in the news for the right reasons always but the Bengaluru-based startup must be doing something right to become the highest-selling electric two-wheeler company in the country, until recently when Bajaj Auto took over in the last two months. Ola has now created history by launching more than 3200 stores co-located with service facilities in a single day.
With this, Ola Electric now operates from over 4000 centres across the country enabling deeper penetration beyond tier-1 and tier-2 cities. Ola Electric has adopted a unique B2C business model which allows the company to transact with customers directly through the stores established across India which are run by Ola itself.
Discounts on Ola S1 range
On the occasion of Christmas, Ola Electric announced benefits ranging up to Rs 25,000 on the S1 portfolio. This offer was limited to purchases made on 25 December 2024. Customers who bought the S1 X benefitted from a flat discount of Rs 7,000. Additionally, customers can avail additional benefits up to Rs 18,000, including Rs 5,000 on select credit card EMIs and MoveOS benefits worth Rs 6,000.

Limited Edition Ola S1 Pro Sona
Ola also took this opportunity to display the limited edition S1 Pro Sona which dazzled with real 24-karat gold plated elements. As part of this massive expansion, the company conducted an Ola Sona Contest. The winners of this contest got a chance to grab hold of this limited edition electric scooter.
Participants needed to post a reel or photo of an Ola S1 Pro outside the brand store and tag the company with the hashtag #OlaSonaContest. Lucky participants got a chance to win the S1 Pro Sona through a scratch and win competition held across all Ola brand stores on December 25.

Ola Sona comes with the immersive “Sona Mood,” which offers a premium riding experience,a gold-themed interface for the Ola app and a customised MoveOS dashboard. The dashboard allows users to personalise ride modes and settings, enhancing their journeys.
MovOS 5
The biggest update introduced by Ola Electric was the launch of the beta version of MoveOS 5. On December 25, Ola opened priority registrations for this software. The updated operating system is designed to enhance the overall riding experience. With the rollout, Ola riders can now gain access to features such as Group Navigation, Live Location Sharing, Road Trip Mode powered by Ola Maps, Smart Charging, Smart Park, TPMS alerts, among others.
