2025 is revving up for a wild start. The first month of the year is about to unleash a pack of new motorcycles, from retro rides that’ll make you feel nostalgic, to rugged adventure beasts that’ll have you chasing horizons. Saddle up – here’s what to expect from January 2025.
Royal Enfield Classic 650

Royal Enfield has decided to step a notch and introduce its best-seller Classic nameplate to the 650 cc segment. The two-wheeler company launched it at EICMA 2024 in Milan and is currently available in the European market. The Classic 650 is expected to make its official debut in India in January. Royal Enfield had taken the covers of the motorcycle at Motoverse 2024 in Goa in November. Based on the Shotgun 650’s frame, the Classic 650 will borrow a lot of components from its sibling. It will be powered by the 648cc parallel-twin engine with 47 horses at 7,250 rpm and torque of 52.3 Nm at 5,620 rpm. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper assist clutch.Â
Royal Enfield Scram 440

The updated Scram 440 was revealed at Motoverse 2024, but Royal Enfield is expected to reveal the prices in January. It is powered by a 443 cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine with an output of 25.4 bhp at 6,250 rpm and 34 Nm at 4,000 rpm. According to Royal Enfield, the power is up by 4.5 per cent and torque by 6.5 per cent as compared to the Scram 411. With a 3 mm bore increase, torque should be more accessible at low revs, making initial acceleration more responsive. The new 6-speed gearbox replaces the 5-speed unit and features a lighter clutch.
KTM 390 Adventure S and the Enduro R

KTM unveiled the KTM 390 Adventure S and for the first time in India, the Enduro R, at India Bike Week in December. Both the motorcycles are based on the same frame and are powered by the 399cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine mated to a six-speed gearbox. The more tarmac-friendly the Adventure S is equipped with USD forks, a mono-shock at the rear, a 21-17 wheel combination, a tall fairing, a TFT instrument console, traction control, lean-sensitive ABS, cruise control, LED lighting, and a host of other ride aids electronics for both on and off-road conditions.
The Enduro R is the stripped down version of the Adventure S, which is for hardcore off-roaders and enthusiasts. It features a 21-18 wheel setup, adjustable suspension, front and rear disc brakes, a small LCD instrument console, and a button to turn off the ABS.
Hero Xpulse 210

It’s Dakar rally time in January and apart from taking part in it, Hero MotoCorp will take the shackles of the new Xpluse 210. The motorcycle was unveiled at EICMA 2024 in November. It gets a new 210cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine borrowed from the Karizma XMR. It churns out 24.5 bhp and 20.4 Nm of peak torque and is paired with a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper and assist clutch. It sits on 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke wheels with adjustable upside-down front forks with a mono-shock at the rear and a switchable dual-channel ABS. It offers a ground clearance of 210mm.
TVS Ronin DS

TVS Motor unveiled the 2025 Ronin DS at the Motosoul in Goa. The motorcycle will get an updated and a better equipped mid-level variant, the DS. It comes standard with dual-channel ABS and two new colour options — Glacier Silver and Charcoal Ember. The Ronin continues to be powered by a 225.9 cc oil-cooled single-cylinder engine with an output of 14.8 bhp at 7750 rpm and 19.93 Nm at 3750 rpm. It is paired with a 5-speed gearbox with assist and slipper clutch.
