Honda, having launched the CBR650R and CB650R in India last month, has commenced bookings for both motorcycles. Interested customers can book the new Honda CB650R at any Honda BigWing dealership across India, and the 2025 Honda CB650R carries a price tag of Rs 9.2 lakh, ex-showroom.
2025 Honda CB650R — What were the updates?
The new Honda CB650R saw updates for 2025 and they are subtle but enough to keep the motorcycle looking fresh in a segment that consists of the Kawasaki Z650, Triumph Trident 660, and others in the segment. The motorcycle features a retro design with a round headlight, a flat handlebar, and a revised tail section that gives it a more aggressive look. Adding to the design of the new CB650R are the exposed header pipes.
The motorcycle is built on a steel frame and is suspended by Showa SFF USD forks up front, and a 10-step preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. Stopping duties are taken care of by dual disc brakes at the front and a single disc at the rear with dual-channel ABS. The motorcycle rides on 17-inch wheels and gets a TFT instrument cluster with phone connectivity.
Powering the motorcycle is the same engine that does its duty on the CB650R’s fully-faired sibling, the CBR650R, for which bookings have also commenced. The engine is a 649cc, liquid-cooled inline four-cylinder unit that makes 94bhp and 63Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox and Honda does not offer a quickshifter with the 2025 CB650R.
